RAKIS ON COLLINS, an award winning and established boutique salon of over 35 years is searching for a permanent full time hairstylist & colourist to join our team.
About Our Salon
In its 35+year history, Rakis on Collins has amassed over 100 business and industry awards, a clientele that ranges from politicians to celebrities and appeared in dozens of magazines from Marie Claire to Vogue.
The salon has been recognised by readers of The Age for cutting the ‘best bobs’ in the biz, worked for shows as diverse as Hermès, Giorgio Armani, Cartier, Gucci, L’Oreal and Prada, as well as media work for OPA Magazine and The Weekly Review, Melbourne Fashion Festival and Oakley. Our team have styled for film and television, and created an eclectic range of looks for our diverse range of clients.
Constantly evolving and continually at the centre of style, Rakis has established itself as a destination salon.
Preferred experience for position includes:
- A passion for creating fashion forward hair
- Outstanding all-round skills in cutting, colour and styling are necessary
- An excellent service ethic and standard of client care
- Commercially astute, with a proven track record of achieving service and retail targets
- Previous experience in a high end salon is preferred but not required
Personal attributes required
- Polished presentation
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude, attention to detail with a drive to learn and grow within the salon
- Excellent conversation and social skills
- Ability to communicate with confidence
- The ability to market one’s self in and out of the salon
- Ambitious and passionate about the fashion hair industry
- A sense of fun and enjoyment of life!
